The quoted price includes basic materials such as screws, wall plugs, adhesives, nails etc, but other materials which may be specific to your job e.g. timber, plumbing parts, hardware, special sealants etc are not included. However any material costs will be agreed with you before I start the project.

Yes. Respecting your house as your home is a fundamental principal of S. Bretherick Handyman Services and I will always leave the work area in a clean and tidy condition.

S. Bretherick Handyman Services does not have a waste carrier licence and therefore I’m unable to dispose of waste packaging materials e.g. flatpack furniture packaging etc. Any waste packaging will be left stacked neatly together and must be disposed of through your normal household waste streams or local household waste recycling centre.

Yes, I carry £2m of public liability insurance (click here for details).

All quotes are free. I can try and give you a cost estimate over the phone, but this is dependent on the type of job and on some occasions I will need to visit first.

If I’m not able to answer your call immediately then I’ll aim to get back to you within the hour. If I need to do a site visit I’ll aim to visit within 24 hours.

At the moment I don’t undertake any electrical work and you should consult a qualified electrician for any work of this nature.

No. Any work on gas installations/appliances MUST be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

I appreciate that everyone has busy lives and, to that end, I will always aim to be as flexible as possible and fit around your schedule. If a situation arises where I am likely to be late or unable to keep an appointment then I will give advance warning to minimise any inconvenience.

No job is too small, but if a job is too big and I feel I cannot deliver the highest quality then I will be honest and decline the job.

I accept cash, cheque or payment by bank transfer. Unfortunately I currently cannot accept payment by credit card or PayPal. I’ll only ask for payment once you’re fully satisfied with the job. The only exception to this is where there are significant material costs before the work can start and also with my range of bespoke wooden planters which are made specially to order and therefore require payment in advance.

Bretherick Handyman Services to a friend, relative, colleague etc and the value of their job exceeds £50, you will receive a £10 gift voucher for either Marks and Spencer, Argos, Debenhams or ASDA. The voucher will be sent to you directly upon completion of and payment for the work. One voucher will be issued for each referral.
